I am about to install a 9100SE in a new house and need a sanity check on my setting for the regeneration program settings. I went through the calculation from the FLECK manual and the only time I changed from the default was the brine tank fill. My desired salt setting is 6lbs per ft3 of resin. I have two 12 X 52 tanks each with 2 ft3 of resin. The 9100 valve has a sticker that says the drain line is 3.5 gpm. I left the following default setting as delivered:
Backwash 10 minutes
Brine and Rinse 60 minutes
Rapid Rinse 10 minutes

The Brine tank fill is the only setting I changed. Here is where I think I need a sanity check. Using the formulas from the book, 1 gal of water desolving approxomately 3 lbs of salt and I need a total of 12 lbs to regenerate the 2 ft3 of resin.

If the unit has a 1 gpm refill rate I assume that I should set the Brine Tank Refill for 4 minutes (12lbs / 3lbs/gal = 4gals). Advise on these setting whould be greatly appreciated as well as suggestions for changing the other regeneration settings. The 9000/9100/9500 manual does not go into any detail about changing the other setting it just uses them to calculate total gallons used for regeneration.
